I can’t believe I’m creating this page. Why? Because I hate creating pages with no realistic or logical hope of ever “completing,” so to speak. And as I separate out all these “non-CFPA” trails into separate pages/section on CTMQ, I’m telling myself it’s more of a resource to those few of you who care about this stuff rather than a list for me to complete. It helps me sleep at night.

There are a lot of land trusts in Connecticut and the range of how okay or great they are is pretty wide. Some have great hiking trails, some don’t. Some have great websites, most don’t. Some have printed guides, most don’t. Some I’ll poke around, most I won’t (he says in 2013 anyway.) By the way, my “etc.” in the title is so I can include stuff like the Hockanum River Watershed Association and similar orgs that operate like land trusts, aren’t land trusts, but don’t fit into my other categories. Whatareyougonnado.

For purposes of my sanity, I won’t start getting detailed about these things with trail lists and stuff until I start hiking them.
