Days 14 & 15: Annemasse, Geneva, Nice

July 23 & 24

Annemasse is the unknown French border town that abuts Geneva. Everything is half the price it is in Geneva, including hotels, so we stayed there. Also, Annemasse was the Tour’s start town the day we were there, so we got to see the start of the race in the rain.

Geneva is exactly as you’d imagine it to be: Super clean, super perfunctory, super sort of boring, actually. But Hoang and I had fun, as this was our last stop before one more night in Nice (at the crazy ass modern Hi Hotel) and then the flight back to New York. Just an incredible trip, with my best friend in the world! A great mix of the Tour, mountains and cities. Perfect.
