Defunct 15. The Children’s Garbage Museum

Let’s be honest here. Our state had two museums dedicated to the crap we throw away and recycle – and that was kind of weird. This fact was a quirky and fun thing about Connecticut and always served as a highlight to all that CTMQ is about. I get Google search hits from around the world about these places – most likely from folks who simply can’t believe we had a Garbage Museum and still have a Trash Museum (in Hartford).

Alas, after years of pleas for money, this Stratford gem has closed up for (apparent) good. Darn. At least Hoang, Damian and I visited it back when it was open.
