Orlando, Florida 2005
I would never bother with this except that I just spent an entire day (it seemed) cleaning out iPhoto and burning discs. I wasn’t sure it I’d save our Orlando trip pictures anywhere, so I didn’t delete them. And then I figured, “Eh, I might as well throw them up on CTMQ, hidden away at the end.”
We went to Orlando over July 4th weekend with Hoang’s family, including her brother and his kids. It was hot and Epcot was lame, but we had fun and even spent 12 hours driving to the Florida highpoint and back (in lieu of the Magic Kingdom. We win.) In retrospect, Epcot is the place Americans who will never travel internationally go to act like they’re traveling internationally. It’s quite horrible in my opinion.
Hoang was a couple months pregnant at this point, but no one knew besides me. The funny thing about that is, looking at these pictures now, it’s so easy to tell she was a bit poofier than usual. Without further ado:
Our rental house…
… On a street in a neighborhood in a town full of the same exact houses. Ahhh, greater Orlando
Hoang feeling the 100 degree wind in her lustrous pregnancy hair
Hoang mugging for someone else’s picture (I love my wife)
Note the little people. On the way to work, hi-ho, hi-ho?
Asian relatives in front of fake Asian gate thing
Your author, in front of the Canadian waterfall thing. All they have for Canada is so dumb old tourism movie.
Ha
Hoang on the Florida Highpoint, Britton Hill (Full scantily clad report here)
Interesting roadkill that we don’t see in Connecticut
Looking at this, I can’t believe her family didn’t call out her pregnancy!
White Trash reigns
At Wild Animal Kingdom (infinitely better than Epcot)
A real live elephant!
A real live (maybe) Baobab Tree!
A real live tiger!
A real live cute niece!
Hoang and her mom nearly dying from laughter
That is all.
