I stumbled upon this place one day after walking around Wadsworth Falls State Park. There is a plaque on a rock at the corner of Long Lane and Wadsworth Street which called the arboretum a “living museum.” As per CTMQ bylaw 16.8(a), I therefore wrote my visit up as a museum rather than simply as an arboretum. I encourage you to hop over there and read that page though, as the history of this place and the people involved in its creation and upkeep are really quite interesting.
